So, I've finally proved to myself that I can sell cars. My May number ended with 15 1/2 cars. But now I'm paying for all those extra hours and my back is revolting against me. Pain is shooting down my spine and walking is next to impossible. I think I worked 9 days in a row and there were days that I was out in the parking lot talking with customers when our dealership had been closed for hours. Last month I was hungry for sales but this month I'm a burned up, chewed up mass of frazzled nerves and fatigue with a monster-sized side of raw pain. All or nothing has been a familiar motto for me. I'm stuck in bed and don't know what to do, so I decided to write a blog.
Let's see, since all I do is work, the next topic will be car jargon. Do you know what a 'one-legged deal' is? It's when a husband or wife comes in, picks out a car and starts the buying process without the spouse present. It's always iffy and could be a colossal waste of time since the husband or wife could blow up the deal. It's best to get all decision makers together when the negotiating starts.
What else is going in at the dealership? They hired another woman in sales, so that makes 4 of us now.
