A Tesla Supercharging station has finally reached my hometown of Independence, Missouri. About six months ago I searched the Supercharging map and at that time there were no supercharging stations in the Kansas City area. I checked it last week and I was amazed to discover that there was a station near the Bass Pro in Independence, Missouri. How long has it been there? Why hasn't the local news covered this story? Tesla Motors seems to be in a perpetual state of stealth mode. While the sleepy folks slumber, Tesla installs Supercharging stations in night or day, right near the highways that we travel daily. The future of electric transport is being constructed right under our noses and remains elusive to most. It's not on the news nor in the break room chatter. It's coming though, whether we're ready for it or not. I'm so excited about this inevitable post-oil revolution. Just a few years ago I had this overwhelming feeling every time I put gas into my car that I was being ripped off by a bunch psychopathic crooks. Now I know that my hunches were correct. I no longer want to have anything to do with supporting the fossil fuel industry. Elon Musk will be receiving my money in the future instead of the gas stations.
